Welcome to Tenerife Family Church
in Las Chafiras
Bill and Roz Jeffery (Senior Pastors) can often be found leading the service in Las Chafiras alongside other members of our core leadership team. Our church offices are also based here and the majority of our weekly events take place at this location.
Our church in Las Chafiras offers a family service feeling due to it being our main central location where we count with all the facilities of a modern church.
We have live worship, led by our worship band, a fantastic teaching team, a live-stream and a media team with live-time lyrics and bible verses projected during the service. Our service is live-streamed via YouTube every Sunday and available to watch at any time (just go to YouTube, Tenerife Family Church and subscribe).
We also have a vibrant Kids Sunday school separated into small kids (3-9) and youth (10-15), as well as a créche for toddlers.
We have attempted to answer the most common questions about what to expect on a Sunday in Silencio but please feel free to drop us a line if there is anything else we can help you with!

What happens on a Sunday? We know that visiting a new church can often be intimidating so don’t worry, we won’t ask you to raise your hand as our guest or do anything that will embarrass or single you out in any way. So, on arrival, feel free to take a seat anywhere, we will sing a few songs, hear someone's testimony (a short, 7 minute life-story) and each week's message lasts for about 30-40 minutes. At the end of the meeting, there is a prayer team available for anyone who wants to respond to anything that has taken place. After the service we would love to say hello and welcome you properly so please stay around for tea, coffee and/or other refreshments in out cafeteria.
-
What do you do for Kids?In TFC Kids, children 15 years old and younger separated in two groups, young kids (3-9) and youth (10-15) experience Jesus on their level. TFC Kids is a safe, age-appropriate environment where kids have their own service with singing, a Bible lesson, and small group time. Please let us know if your child has a special need and is planning to join us. For nursing mothers, we also have a crèche/viewing room where parents and infants can watch and listen to the service together.
-
What should I wear? We're more concerned with people's hearts than what they are wearing! Our dress code is simple: just wear whatever you are comfortable in. Most people dress casually but feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
-
Will anyone speak to me?We love welcoming new people and getting to know them and we definitely would like to say hello! Please feel free to say “This is my first time” and our welcome team will guide you in and show you where to find a seat, the toilets, children's ministry and cafeteria. At the end of the service we always enjoy some time of fellowship in the cafeteria so feel free to stay and chat with us. If you need anything else at all throughout the morning — a Bible, a pen or a glass of water — just ask any of us, we’re a friendly bunch, and we’d love to serve you!

Can I attend if I'm _____Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, a single parent, broke, an addict, bi-racial, a skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at Tenerife Family Church. In fact, we’re all broken people! There are people attending Tenerife Family Church who have major hurts, habits, and hang-ups. We’re a community of people who don’t have it all together but are discovering what it means to find life in Jesus, to follow him fully, to break free from our past, and to walk in victory together. That’s who WE are... so come as YOU are, and we’ll see you on Sunday!
-
Are your services translated?Yes! We have a translation team and every part of our service is translated into Spanish. Let us know when you arrive that you would like to hear the service in Spanish and our team will direct you to the designated Spanish speakers seats where you will find your headsets.
